The Weekend

This unique weekend is designed  for TM Governors and Teachers to retreat, revitalize, and to celebrate the legacy of TMC, Inc, and its teachers, including the post-TMC era teachers  serving minority communities.
The Course

A residence course for and by teachers of TMC, Inc.

 

Dates:  Friday, November 29, 2013 through Sunday, December 1, 2013.

 

The course: This course is designed for TM Governors and Teachers to retreat, revitalize, and celebrate the legacy of TMC, Inc. and its teachers. The course will be also include rounding, a program of knowledge on TM, overview of recertification and talk of the development of higher states of consciousness

 

New Development:  We have been in talks with Dr. Dennis Rowe, Director of Education for Maharishi Foundation USA, the national teaching organization in the US. He has been the liaison for Raja John Hagelin for our course. Dennis was pleased to let us know that Raja Hagelin approved our reunion to be a special assembly, which will be conducted along the lines of TM Weekend Retreats and World Peace Assemblies. They both extend their greetings and are pleased and impressed with our coming together to celebrate our 40th Anniversary and the TMC legacy.

 

Deep Experience and Deep Rest:  Immerse in the extended rounding of the TM and TM-Sidhi program* providing the inner creative silence of Pure Consciousness, and deep, rejuvenating rest for the body, facilitating profound release of stress. This provides the basis for greater clarity, energy, happiness and joy when returning home.

 

Beautiful talks by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi: Video talks on Love and God, Mother Divine and profound understandings of Higher States of Consciousness – along with discussions of experiences.

 

Informative talks by you:  As with most TM Retreats, the weekend is designed with rounding and knowledge.  Along with videos of Maharishi, there are a few openings for teachers to present.  Most will be interested in  simply rounding and rest. However, if you think you might be interested in presenting , please let us know.  Although it is not  a requirement, we  recommend  that teachers present in pairs.  If interested, please submit your curriculum to help us to organize the flow of the weekend.

Meditate & Celebrate

​

Celebration: Simply because we are together, is reason to celebrate.  We will begin the weekend reflecting upon our legacy as TM teachers affiliated with TMC, Inc. and the thousands of people of color throughout the world who have learned Transcendental Meditation through our efforts.

 

New Development:  The course will have a structured, weekend retreat-style program; thus we will have the reunion party prior to the formal course. Those attending the course are encouraged to arrive Friday, November 29 at 10:00 am for check in and a reception. The reunion festivities are entitled "Meditate and Celebrate." It will last until the formal course begins at 7:00 pm.

 

​Commemorating the 40th Anniversary:   We wish to commemorate and celebrate our shared unique experiences as TMC teachers, best exemplified by the great achievement of the Teachers' Training Course in Ethiopia where about 100 Americans and Ethiopians became teachers. This year is the 40th Anniversary of that course.

 

That course was truly a high expression of "Nature's support." This is not only true for the organizing of the course, but there were many miracles along the way that assisted people to go to Africa to attend that course.

 

Celebrating today's teachers: Whether from the active days of TMC, Inc or this post-TMC era, there are several teachers currently teaching and making a great difference in the world.  We wish to share in the joy of your experiences. Share  your visions for increasing the outreach to greater enlightenment to our communities.

Fee

  • Day-long event - $65.00, includes lunch and dinner.

  • Fee for this event is included when registering for the weekend course.

Venue & Accommodations

Retreat Venue:  Upon entering the grounds of our retreat location, The Holy Spirit Retreat Center, you will feel engulfed in its high vibration. There is a profound stillness at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center. Located at 4361 Lanai Road in Encino, Ca (in the County of Los Angeles), it is a gorgeous location on 10 acres. It has a serene lake, lovely gardens and grounds.

Each room comes with two beds with a private bath, heat and air conditioning.  A few are set aside for private occupancy. Each room has a lovely view of the garden and sufficiently lights up the room during the day.

 

  • Single Room with private bath -   $350.00 (limited availability)

  • Shared Room with private bath -  $250.00

  • Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are included:   beginning with Friday dinner through Sunday lunch
